Safe Click Campaign – Cyber Awareness Marathon
As part of the Safe Click Campaign, a Cyber Awareness Marathon was organized to promote awareness about cybercrime prevention and digital safety. The marathon was flagged off by Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh and industrialist Vinod Agarwal, marking the beginning of a large-scale public awareness initiative.
More than 5,000 citizens enthusiastically participated in the 6-kilometre marathon, which started from Nehru Stadium, passed through key city routes, and concluded back at the stadium. Participants, dignitaries, and police officials also took a pledge to practice safe digital habits and spread awareness about cybersecurity.
The event was attended by senior police officials, including Additional Police Commissioner (Law) Mayank Awasthi, Additional Police Commissioner (Headquarters) R.K. Singh, DCP (Crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, and ADCP Rajesh Dandotiya, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Vinod Agarwal emphasized the importance of cyber awareness and encouraged citizens to remain vigilant against online frauds by adopting responsible digital practices. The marathon reflected a strong commitment by the police administration and community leaders to build a safer and more cyber-aware society.
